These days, we always stay at Bodega Coast Inn when we go to Bodega Bay and have stayed with and without a dog with us. We LOVE the location of the inn! Great view of the harbor inlet, short walk to a great coffee shop and Lucas’ Wharf for more serious food. Wonderful place to take a dog with plenty of quiet room for potty walks and a dog rest area.
We last stayed there this week after the renovation and our room was lovely. The big deep tub was soooooo nice! Also appreciated not having to keep track of keys. Loved the view from this particular room and plan to book it again soon. Our room was immaculate.
We have also enjoyed an upper floor room with a fireplace. And we were easily able to bring up Amazon prime and stream videos on the television.
It’s just a very peaceful and relaxing location and setting with the plus of great coffee just down the street at Cap’n Daveys.

I don’t write that many hotel reviews, most hotels are hotels, nothing to get excited about. However this place is the bomb. Other hotels should come here to see how one should be run. First off, contact less check-in is great. No standing in line. They email you door code and you’re in. Awesome. This building is new so it should be nice but it’s more than that. The nautical decor is cute. The rooms are HUGE. I had to max zoom out on my phone camera to capture it all. Every amenity you’d want. Mini friedge, empty for you to use. Keurig machine not just generic coffee maker. Deep tub combo shower, rare these days. Huge bathroom. Cieling fan. Tall ceiling. Immaculate and clean. Hot water, decent shower pressure. This is like a four star hotel room at two star prices. Very competitive pricing. This is my second stay and for Lake Chelan area my go to hotel. Don’t change a thing.

I will absolutely be making a point to come back to Surfbreak in the future. Everything from checking in, finding a room assignment that worked for me and my partner, and even getting amazing restaurant recommendations was stupendous.
The staff is incredible, I absolutely adore the lot of them. They ensured that we had a good, quiet room with a lot of privacy – and in general the other patrons were awesome to talk to. The overall vibe of the people around this place was great. Nice and great temperament. Also, this place is less than 2 miles away from the beach! There is a park nearby for easy access as well.
Whenever I’m in San Clemente again, I will be prioritizing staying at Surfbreak. Very memorable place, quaint and rustic aesthetic, in a great location.

Black Sands Inn is a hidden treasure perched above the wild beauty of Shelter Cove. The views of the Pacific are absolutely unreal—like something out of a dream. The room was spotless, stylish, and had everything I needed for a peaceful, soul-recharging stay. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to misty cliffs? Unbeatable. Quiet, serene, and perfectly located for exploring the Lost Coast. I’ll be back. Five stars all the way.

Hotel Zindel was the perfect location, and had everything we needed. We loved the updated interior and the firepit lounge area. Staff responded quickly when I had a question and entry was so seamless and easy. We will definitely be staying here again! It is perfect!
