At Somers Collection, we want your experience to be seamless from booking to check-out. Our FAQ section covers everything from reservations and amenities to group events and special offers. Browse below for quick answers to the most common questions our guests ask.
How does self check-in work at Somers Collection hotels?
As our guest, you will receive an email 48 hours before arrival with check-in instructions and an access code; access will be through a private entrance. Prior to arrival, you must complete online registration via a secure link. You will be asked to provide the property with a copy of your government-issued photo ID after booking.
What’s your cancellation policy?
The answer to this common FAQ, we offer refundable reservations only on any reservation cancellations received 72 hours prior to arrival. Any reservations made with promotion or packages, and are fully prepaid, are non-refundable.
Are there any additional charges or fees?
We charge a $25 amenity fee at all of our Somers Collection hotels. This helps us maintain and enhance our on-site features, including outdoor fire pits, hot tubs, and other shared guest spaces. Amenities vary by property, so we recommend checking the hotel’s page to see what’s included during your stay.
Are Pets Allowed?
Well-behaved dogs are allowed at all of our Somers Collection hotels. There is a fee of $75 USD per pet, per stay. Service animals are exempt from fees. Please notify us you will be bringing a pet at time of booking or registration.
Do You Offer a Loyalty Program or Promotional Discounts?
While we do not provide a loyalty program, we do frequently run promotional discounts. Please check our Packages and Offers page for more details. We also recommend that you sign up for our Sommers Collection Email List to be the first notified about special rates and offers. We also always recommend booking directly with us at our Somers Collection hotels to avoid third-party fees.
Do You Offer Group Rates or Buyouts?
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning a wedding, retreat, or special celebration, we offer group rates and full property buyouts at select Somers Collection hotels. To get started, simply submit your details through our Weddings & Events Inquiry Form and our team will be in touch to help you plan something unforgettable.
Do You Have a Contactless Support Line or Concierge?
We do! Our support team is available via text or call at 619-658-0104 to assist with anything you need during your stay—from billing and reservation questions (especially for direct bookings) to maintenance requests or help accessing your room. We’re just a message away.
Hotel Zindel
IS THERE PARKING?
Hotel Zindel does not offer on-site parking. Located in the heart of Little Italy, one of San Diego’s most walkable and vibrant neighborhoods, most guests find it easy to explore on foot or via a quick Uber or Lyft.
While limited street parking may be available, it is not guaranteed. For peace of mind, we’re happy to recommend nearby garages and lots suitable for overnight parking—just reach out to our support team for details. Learn more at hotelzindel.com.
Hotel Dega
How do I get there?
Hotel Dega is located along iconic Pacific Coast Highway 1 in Bodega Bay, Sonoma County—just about 1 hour and 30 minutes north of San Francisco by car. It’s a scenic drive through wine country, coastal hills, and charming small towns. Please note that we currently do not have exterior signage, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention. For the most accurate directions, we recommend using Google Maps, which will bring you directly to our property. If using Apple Maps, please double-check the address to ensure you’re being routed to our modern boutique hotel in Bodega Bay—not a nearby residence or business.

Black Sands Inn
How do I get there?
This hotel is located in a remote location, so please be aware of the long, windy drive if you aren’t flying in. There are spots along the way through the mountains with no cell service, and at night it can be quite dark. If driving to our hotel, we suggest making the trip during daylight hours. Surfbreak Hotel
How close is the nearest surf beach?
You’re in luck—Surfbreak Hotel is perfectly positioned for wave chasers. The nearest surf beach is T-Street Beach, just about a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the hotel. Known for its consistent break and local surf scene, it’s a favorite among both seasoned surfers and those looking to catch their first wave.Other iconic surf spots like San Onofre, Trestles, and Cottons are all within a short drive south, making Surfbreak Hotel an ideal base for exploring the best of San Clemente’s surf culture.
